For this project, I had to select an episode of This American Life to make a book cover for. I chose The Ghost of Bobby Dunbar, a true account about the mysterious kidnapping of a Southern boy in 1912. Once he was found, two different families claimed he was their son. The story follows Margaret Dunbar Cutright, Bobby's granddaughter, along her journey to uncover the truth of what really happened all those years ago. This book jacket is meant to evoke the swampy location of the story through the brown and green color palette and illustrate the themes of duality and separation in the story.
